Winter Blues

Ok, so it’s not quite winter here in the Philippines, but it’s as close as I have felt during my time here. This is another shot I took in the mountains of Ifugao, above the cloud line, and it gets pretty cold at night if you don’t have the right sleeping gear. I took this shot in the early morning after a night of rainfall and love seeing the droplets of rain clinging onto the vegetation, before it evaporates from the heat of the sunlight. This type of grass is used to make soft sweeping brushes used around the home.

The camera was set to black and white, inbuilt flash turned on, exposure set to minus 5, aperture at 4, and then a blue filter over the top to create a chilling feel.
